JAMB CAPS (Central Admission Processing System) is a platform designed by JAMB (Joint Admission Matriculation Board) for candidates to be able to monitor their Admission status.

Its mainly designed to monitor admission status so that there will not be more than two or no school to offer a candidate an admission. JAMB gives free regular access to your JAMB profile.

HOW TO ACCESS JAMB CAPS

To access your JAMB CAPS status, you have to login to your JAMB profile.

• Browse JAMB PORTAL
• Fill in your details and login
• Click “check Admission status”
• Click “access my CAPS“

If you are using a mobile phone to access the your JAMB CAPS, put your browser on desktop site to access the site easily.

NOTE: The JAMB CAPS button will only be visible if the admission is in progress.

HOW TO RESET A FORGOTTEN JAMB PROFILE PASSWORD

To access your JAMB CAPS you will need access to your JAMB profile. If you by chance forgot your JAMB profile login, then follow the steps below to retrieve it;

• Get your registered JAMB Gmail ready
• Browse JAMB portal.
• Click the forgot password button below
• Follow the steps
• You will get a new password through your email address.

Understanding What Jamb Caps Status Messages Mean

• NOT ADMITTED: This means that no institution has considered you for admission.
• ADMISSION IN PROGRESS: This means that JAMB has received your name for admission, but they need to review some of the criteria that institutions follow to make sure they are following the set rules.
• YOU HAVE BEEN RECOMMENDED FOR ADMISSION: This means that the admission will work in your favor, just to reassure you about the admission process.
• ADMISSION IS APPROVED: This means that you have been offered admission.
• ACCEPT OR REJECT ADMISSION: This means that JAMB wants to give you a choice of your own. just to know your interest. You can choose to reject the admission or accept it based on what you want.
